The Pit Walks: Once again the TT pit area was open to the public, I took the opportunity to meet many of the TT stars, examine the latest machinery and take particular note of how the rider changes and sponsor packages had influenced the overall appearance and 'buzz' in the paddock. Comparisons between the TT and the extreme restrictions imposed by MotoGP and to a lesser extent WSBK organisers with regard to pit access, put simply 'there is no comparison', the TT pit access is secure and yet totally open for race fans, tremendous stuff!
#1: JOHN McGUINNESS / TT LEGENDS: A huge improvement compared to TT2010, John won the Superbike and Senior TT's.
#3: GUY MARTIN / RELENTLESS SUZUKI by TAS RACING: Guy moved away from Honda for TT2011, joining the Relentless Suzuki team.
#5: BRUCE ANSTEY / PADGETTS RACING: Bruce made a major move for TT2011, leaving the Relentless Suzuki Team he teamed up with the super successful team of TT2010, Padgetts Racing.
#6: CAMERON DONALD / WILSON CRAIG RACING: Cam made a major move for TT2011, leaving the Relentless Suzuki Team he teamed up with William Dunlop riding Honda machinery.
#10: CONOR CUMMINS / McADOO KAWASAKI RACING: Definitely the most courageous return to motorcycle racing for some time, Conor suffered massive injuries following a crash in the Senior TT of TT2010.
#2: KLAUS KLAFFENBOCK & DAN SAYLE / MANX GAS RACING: Undisputed favourites to again win both TT Sidecar Races, Klaus and Dan obliged in Race 1 but suffered a rare mechanical problem in Race 2.
#1: GIACOMO AGOSTINI/MV AGUSTA: A magnificent MV Agusta 500/3 as used by Ago during the 'Milestones of the Mountain' Parade Lap.
