'ADULT' CHARACTERS: As usual the Vintage Soap Box Derby 'Adult division' attracted some 'unusual' characters and hairstyles:

MOUNT TAMBORINE BREWERY: Once again the Brewery supported the event and provided the facilities for the 'Trophy Presentations' and 'Brunch'.

THE TROPHIES: The design of the Trophies matched the 'Garterbelts and Gasoline - Nostalgia Festival' logo, excellent.

THE TROPHY PRESENTATIONS: A selection of the Trophy Winners, the gentleman presenting the awards, Mr Paul Biagini, was in for quite a surprise this year, given the time and effort put into the event Paul was presented with a 'Mandalier' and Paul and his wife Amanda were awarded with a signed and framed Commemorative Poster, well done.

FOOTNOTE: I have attended a wide variety of 'Race Events' over many decades. The Vintage Soap Box Derby, the way it is advertised beforehand, the way it is managed on the day and the fun level, outstanding. It can only grow from here, well done to all involved.
