THE BEAULIEU NATIONAL CAR MUSEUM: Located on Lord Montagu's Beaulieu Estate, the Museum hosts a wide range of mainly British vehicles honouring British road cars, land speed record cars and Formula 1 cars. The Museum setting and the grounds, truly magnificent.
THE MUSEUM: The Lord Montagu of Beaulieu laid the foundation stone for the National Motor Museum on the 15th December 1970 on behalf of the Beaulieu Museum Trust, subsequently the Museum was opened by His Royal Highness, The Duke of Kent on the 4th July 1972. The Museum replaced the Montagu Motor Museum founded in 1952 by Edward 3rd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu to commemorate the achievements of his father John and all other pioneers of motoring in Britain.
