THE Le Minz TWENTY FOUR HOUR SCOOTERTHON: The sixth running of the Le Minz 24 Hour Scooterthon, sponsored by INSURE MY RIDE, hereinafter referred to as 'IMR', was held on the Gold Coast, Queensland in December, 2011. The endurance test (race) was open to Scooters with a maximum capacity of 50cc and there were two classes, stock and modified. There was also the matter of a Guinness Book of Records attempt! With ten minutes of the race left to run, Mark 'Brownie' Brown reclaimed the World Record and Guinness Book of Records entry for the furthest distance travelled on a Scooter in twenty four hours: 1,189.685 kilometres, incredible! My coverage specifically targets the #25: 'IMR' TEAM, which included Two Time World Endurance Champion, Warwick Nowland as co-rider, I also specifically covered the exploits of solo rider 'Brownie' on his winning way.
