Goodwood

As part of a Britain and mainland Europe tour in 2009 I searched the web for some Motor Racing events coinciding with said trip, yes, Goodwood that would do!! Simple really, just prepay for the entry and turn up for the 'three days' at Revival 2009, there must be something of interest there. Oh my god, never could I have imagined the extent of the place, the Motor Racing and Aviation History, the Horse Racing complex, the scale of it all defies belief.

The effort put in by the Goodwood Organisers, Competitors, Mechanics and the Spectators dressing in period costume, all tremendous stuff.

GOODWOOD REVIVAL 2009:

I picked the right one, Sir Stirling Moss' 80th Birthday Celebrations requiring the obligatory 80+ of Sir Stirling's Cars on parade, Dr Buzz Aldrin judging Aircraft, Murray Walker being Murray and James May, well, being James! From a motorcycling perspective Wayne Gardner, Phil Read and Mick Grant to name but a few were in attendance.

Cars, Motorcycles and Aircraft of various forms were all there, flying displays, a Lancaster, Spitfires, Hurricanes, Mustangs and a certain Vulcan Bomber!

I LOVE NEW TECHNOLOGY, LAPTOPS, DIGITAL CAMERAS, MOBILE PHONES/WIRELESS BROADBAND, GPS ETC. ALL SO COOL AND 'PORTABLE'......
