CROCKETT, TEXAS: Named to honour David Crockett, Davy was recorded as having passed through the area now known as Crockett on his way to the Alamo. I was amazed at the lack of Memorials or Statues to honour Davy.
THE HISTORIC 1893 DOWNES-ALDRICH HOUSE: Rumoured to be haunted, the Downes-Aldrich House is one of the most photographed attractions in Crockett.
THE DAVID CROCKETT MEMORIAL PARK: The only clearly definable memorial to David Crockett I could locate in Crockett, sadly the Park is in very poor condition.
